Vein & Artery Clinic Services

Better health for your veins & arteries.

Your veins and arteries make up your vascular system but have distinctly different symptoms, diseases and treatments. Veins use low pressure to return low-oxygen blood to your heart, while arteries use high pressure to carry oxygenated blood from your heart to the rest of your body. The most common vein conditions are blood clots (also called deep vein thrombosis or DVT) and venus reflux, which is a problem with the tiny valves not functioning correctly that causes blood to pool in your legs or superficial veins. The most common conditions for arteries include clotting, aneurysms (enlarged arteries) and narrowed or blocked vessels.

State-of-the-art treatments.

At our Vein & Artery Clinic, we treat all of the above conditions using both surgical and nonsurgical methods. In many cases, using our advanced techniques and today’s technology, we can perform minimally invasive procedures such as endoscopic surgery that offer faster recovery and less downtime than older, traditional, open surgeries.

Cosmetic Sclerotherapy: Sclerotherapy uses an injection of a special chemical (sclerosant) into a varicose vein to damage and scar the inside lining of the vein. This causes the vein to close. We utilize the most modern sclerotherapy medications, such as Asclera or Polidocanol. The benefit of these newer medications is that they are associated with superior cosmetic results, less discomfort during vein injections, and fewer risks of side effects. Polidocanol is formulated to not only effectively eliminate veins, but also has a numbing anesthetic quality so there is very little discomfort.

The most advanced treatment…for your varicose veins.

We also offer treatment for varicose veins! Better than the traditional methods of vein stripping, Closure® is a proven, minimally invasive, in-office procedure that treats your varicose veins. This treatment produces little pain and less scaring than traditional vein stripping. You can usually return to work the next day. To learn more about how the Closure® procedure can help you, call our offices in Stockton or Lodi.
